festival fashion: outside lands festival & EBV matchups.

good morning, sunshines!
...and a happy wednesday to you! i love festival fashion, possibly more than any other kind of fashion, & free people did a great job of capturing some great looks on their blog this week at the outside lands music festival in san francisco. we've taken some of the looks & matched them up with pieces currently for sale at EBV, to make it easy for you to create some of these looks on your own. let me know what you think!
cheers,
savannah marie

p.s. click any of the EBV pictures to take you straight to the listing for that item.

weekend in review.

happy sunday!
i hope everyone had a delightful weekend. ours was pretty interesting. spent friday with both kiddos. had a little dinner picnic at the park. took the kids back to their other parents pretty late friday & got some much needed rest. saturday morning we left out early for enoree, south carolina, now affectionately known as the home of the 1st annual carolina metalfest. that's right. i said metalfest.
now those of you that know me personally know that i am, and likely always will be, probably the exact opposite of what one would picture when you think of a heavy metal music fan. however, the boy in the rock & roll band & i are quite smitten with each other & occasionally this puts me in interesting situations, like backstage at a heavy metal music & camping festival. beitthemeans is not by any stretch of the imagination, a heavy metal band, but the festival proprietor saw them play another venue in south carolina a few weeks ago & convinced them to get on the bill, pretty last minute... and off to carolina it was.
i saw a few things i may never forget, but i had a pretty fun time. i got to see some other musician friends of ours that i always enjoy running into & i was able to scratch "attend non hippie music festival" off my bucket list.
i also went down to check out the naked people in the dunk tank & got hit in the head with a baseball by a drunk who missed the dunk tank target. BY A LOT. he didn't even get close. at least i was able to quickly convince nathan not to "handle" the drunk. what can you do? love hurts. i traded in the beer for a water & a bottle of aleeve & survived.
here's the weekend in pictures. xo.
cheers,
savannah marie

the two sunshines in my life.

i found this at a gas station in georgia when we stopped for gas. it's a tallboy dr. pepper. i don't think i need to say anything else about that. omg.

i've also decided if the whole vintage thing doesn't work out, i'm getting a job here. it's like hooters, but they serve tacos. their mobile setup was at the festival.

this was drawing quite a crowd...

...but this is what i was really interested in seeing.

i sure do love the boy that plays the drums in the rock & roll band.

oh yes...and this. somehow in the midst of the busy weekend, i found time friday morning to pop into my favorite thrift store & add this to my record collection. yay!

i wish.

hello, hello, hello!
it's thursday & i'm posting my typical wednesday blog...and that, my friends, is because i was out having too much fun last night to sit in front of my computer. the boy & i went to see some of my very favorite people. my friend, carlie just moved into a lovely new home & we were so excited to see it! my other favorite person, and former ebv model, jenn, got married earlier this year & we haven't gotten to see her much, so we were totally stoked to see her too! it's funny how life works. you get older, get married up, have kids, & sometimes you just don't have the time to see your friends as much as you used to, but gosh, when you do, it is just so refreshing. there's nothing that beats an awesome evening with good friends.
anyway, here's what i'm wishing for today...
cheers,
savannah

i wish the kiddos had a tree house like this in our backyard.

i wish the boy with the pretty blue eyes wrote me love letters like these.

i wish we got to sleep in late & do this more often than we do.

sigh. i wish i could drive around in this awesome ride.

i wish this lovely owl ring was mine, all mine!

i wish this collection of awesome belonged to me!

i wish for a trip to the beach. soon. and also...for that hat.

i wish music festival season was here already. we've got such great plans to vend some GREAT festivals this summer. wakarusa is the only one we have confirmed so far, but there will be several more announcements in the coming weeks. in the meantime, nathan is playing a music festival this weekend, so we will get a little taste of the fun in just a couple of days! hope it holds me over...

summer fun.

hello, hello, & happy tuesday to you!
got some good news today! everybody's buying vintage was confirmed as an official wakarusa vendor. i am rather excited about that. it will be our first time doing that particular music festival. music festivals are one of my absolute favorite things about summer. we have such a great time meeting & mingling with our customers in such a laid back atmosphere. it really is just so pleasant. this summer will be particularly exciting, since i will be debuting my new line, savannah marie, on the summer music festival circuit beginning in may, before debuting it online in late june.
in you are planning on attending wakarusa, or any other music festival this summer, you need to keep two words in mind, as far as your wardrobe is concerned: lightweight & airy. our online shop has some pieces perfect for summer music festival wear for sale now. be sure to visit the shop to check it all out.
here are just a few:

weekend in review: red river valley/music festival trip.

hello, hello!
hope you guys all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend. we sure did! we spent the weekend in northern tennessee at the red river campground. the head jamz music festival was there & the boy & i went to set up my vintage booth. we vended all day & late into the evening friday, saturday, & sunday. we saw some great live music, ate some yummy food (one vendor had the best fish tacos!), & enjoyed the first hint of fall weather (it was 46 degrees saturday night!). i had the chance to catch up with some of my existing customers & make some new ones too. all in all, it was quite the enjoyable weekend in the mountains. the only downside? no cell reception for three solid days! i did feel quite lost with a practically useless iphone in my purse, but at the same time, i think it was good for me to disconnect for a little while & take in my surroundings & enjoy my handsome date, uninterrupted! here are our photos from the adventure.
cheers,
savannah

the drive in was gorgeous. very scenic. we were absolutely deep into scenic territory.
